Prayers

Hey all please be in prayer with me as I begin to talk with the right people as I continue to pray about South Africa on my heart. I just feel that this is the right decision.

Why South Africa??

You may be asking why South Africa??

or why Africa in general....

So here's why....

Africa in the recent years has always been on my heart.. there is never a time when I don't think about it. My love jumped to passion upon finding out about Invisible Children, a non profit organization that is trying to end the war that has been raging for over almost twenty years. Although South Africa was not involved close countries that border it were affected. A cruel man named Joseph Kony abducted innocent children and took them as his slaves, to fight in a war that most of them had never seen before. I have had friends that have gone to Kenya on mission trips and they brought back pictures of the faces and the kids that they had met. My heart upon seeing them melted. With school in my way I couldnt get a chance to go. After getting into college I learned about UNCG's study abroad program: I looked up Africa and there it was South Africa :)

I have fallen in love with the people of Africa, especially the kids.

I desire to help people by any means necessary

and I desire finally which should be first: to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ to all people.

A long road awaits me, and I hope you will be with me in this journey.

This is why I want to journey to the rainbow nation.
